EMLA conducted testing on common metal lath and stucco assemblies to provide baseline data to designers, end-users, and standards organizations. The objective of this report is to analyze this data and provide allowable loads for the tested assemblies.

Transverse Load Test on Stucco Panels

Transverse load tests were performed on 18 stucco wall assemblies with 2.5 (see Report Number L-11-1869a R1) and 3.4 (see Report Number L-11-1869b R1) self-furring expanded metal lath in general accordance with ICC-ES AC191, Acceptance Criteria for Metal Plaster Bases (Lath), effective June, 2009. Both reports present the description of the tests performed, the results of the testing, and the findings. The following EMLA companies participated in the test: Alabama Metal Industries Corp. (AMICO), California Expanded Metal Company (CEMCO) and Clark-Dietrich Building Systems, LLC.
